Getting to and around Granada

There are many travel options to Granada from Madrid and

other parts of Spain

Flights

Granada Airport (GRX) or Malaga Airport (AGP) have service from Madrid- Barajas (MAD) and other cities. Various options for transfer to downtown Granada.

Car Rental

Rental companies catering to international drivers are located at all airports and train stations in Madrid, Granada and other cities. Driving from Madrid is approximately 4-4.5 hours. Public parking garages available in Granada.

Train & Bus

Renfe AVE operates a 3.5-hour train from Madrid’s Atocha station. There are also easy train connections to Granada from other cities in Spain such as Seville and Cordoba.

Alsa also operates a 4.5-hour bus from Madrid.

*Note that while Uber is widely available in Madrid, it is limited in Granada. However, Granada has many taxis as well as an efficient city bus and metro system.
